Behind The Artist
Donna Albany is a Kalkadoon woman living on Bundjalung Country. An artist and art educator, she studied a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts at Southern Cross University, specializing in ceramics, painting and printmaking. She also studied Visual Design at the University of Sydney and Interior Design in Brisbane, enriching her artmaking practice.
Residing in the coastal town of Lennox Head, her artworks traverse between her rugged ocean surroundings and the vast desert terrain of her ancestral home. Donna's artworks depict the physical forms of the natural world but also exist as a place of spiritual contemplation and connection.
