Once a month, Collective Autonomy hosts a workshop or event in our serene store. From artistic workshops such as watercolour, paper making or necklace making, to journalling events, writing workshops and inspiring speakers; Collective Autonomy collaborates with talented makers from across Australia to bring you Collective Autonomy Events. Each event is a unique opportunity to delve into a different facet of artistic exploration whilst being inspired by the collection of conscious products in the store around you.

My Kind Club facilitator Roxanna came to the Collective Autonomy events space to share the lost wax technique of ring making. Attendees were taught how to use tools to carve, mold and file their designs. Rings were sent to be casted in sterling silver or bronze.

Claire Swinney, author and psychic, hosted the Intuituve Tarot workshop. It was an eye opening and heart healing afternoon of mystical connection. We tapped into our inner intuits to see more and learn more about tarot from guest facilitator Claire.

Collective Autonomy played host to the Reflective Writing workshop with local author Dr. Hilton Koppe. It was an insightful, inspiring, and introspective morning guided by Hilton’s expertise as a teacher, podcaster and writer.Through many prompts we rewrote our personal scripts of how to write, analysed our assumptions, and had fun with challenging but creative exercises.

Heya, the owner of Yum Bakery, joined us at Collective Autonomy for a fun afternoon of cake decorating. Heya guided us through the techniques needed to create our own vintage style piped decoration for our blank cakes. A delicious and fun afternoon!

Daisy Braid, the creative behind DIY Daisy brought the beads to Collective Autonomy for the Upcycled Necklace Workshop. Attendees got crafty with a huge range of secondhand beads sourced from op shops and maketplace to create their own stunning necklaces.

Holly Nielsen of Paper Hands shared her watercolour techniques with attendees at Collective Autonomy. Over two hours Holly walked us through the steps and tips of creating beautiful botanical watercolour artworks. From beginners to advanced, everyone left feeling more connected and more confident in their watercolour abilities.

Susan Wright of Born In Paper shared her lifelong affinity and appreciation for the art of handmade paper with attendees to this workshop. Guests got a chance to learn how to pull paper, infuse with seeds and flowers, emboss the paper, and make seeded cards and gift tags. Susan uses office paper waste to create the bulk of the paper pulp but also adds in things like grass clippings, flower petals, leaves and cotton to give the paper dimension and texture.

Marlena Taylor of Ruco Paints joined the Collective Autonomy events line up in April 2025 to bring her Art Of Watercolour Workshop. Marlena is a talented illustrator who took it one step further to create her own line of natural binded watercolour paints. In this workshop attendees were guided through the basics of watercolours using the luxurios Ruco colours.

When women gather great things happen. And local speaker and writer Sonia Bavistock. facilitated the coming together of a group of local women. In this heartfelt communion, a group of local women shared their hopes, healings, and inspirations, sparking a shift within all.

Creativity flowed at the Collage Workshop yesterday. Working with beautiful vintage imagery inspired unique and expressive collages that surprised even the self-proclaimed ‘non-creatives’ amongst us.

Kaz Dixon, the artist behind Ancestors of The Sea, gave us a peek into the creativity and intuition that goes into her signature style of art. Using watercolours, alcohol inks, acrylic shimmer paint and paint pens, the group surpirsed themselves with the organic beauty of their creations.

DIY Daisy - AKA Daisy Braid graced us with her boxes of beads for the first iteration of the upcycled beaded necklace workshop! Daisy sources secondhand beads and attendees made their own necklace with her witty guidance.
