Description

A tranquil fragment of the Australian coastline, captured forever on paper. Designed for ocean lovers, beachcombers, and collectors of unique natural art, this fine art print brings a serene piece of the coast into your home.

Featuring sustainably foraged Ulva, commonly known as sea lettuce, from the pristine shores of the Northern Rivers, NSW, this piece celebrates the delicate, translucent beauty of marine flora. Reminiscent of frosted sea glass, the softly layered specimen carries the memory of a singular tide, a specific stretch of coastline, and a quiet moment in time.

Whether displayed on its own or curated within a botanical gallery wall, this print introduces a calm, organic elegance to any space.

All prints are unframed and posted with hard backing card for protection and sealed in a biodegradable cellulose slip.

Behind The Brand

With The Tides is a studio practice rooted in devotion to the ocean and the natural world. Based along the Northern Rivers coastline of NSW, Australia, the artwork celebrates the transient, delicate beauty of washed-up marine flora through traditional botanical pressing.

Every design begins on the beach. Seaweed specimens are gathered by hand from the shoreline, taking only what the tide has already offered, never harvesting from living reefs or rock pools.

In the studio, each specimen is gently washed and floated on watercolor paper submerged in a shallow tray. As it settles into its natural form, the paper is carefully lifted out and transferred to a wooden press.

The pressing process takes days or weeks to complete. The resulting prints hold a tactile memory of a specific tide, weather pattern, and stretch of coast.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Alice is the creator behind With The Tides. Living along the Northern Rivers, her days are shaped by the ocean, coastal walks, and the natural rhythms of the sea.

Her work stems from a desire to bring the grounding essence of nature indoors, encouraging a slower, more intentional connection to the environments around us. Combining mindfulness, artistic preservation, and a deep respect for marine ecosystems, Alice creates each piece with patience and care, offering a quiet piece of coastal wisdom for the home.
