Handmade Pottery candle made in Kyogle, NSW. Wendy Cain is the founder behind Clay Corner in Kyogle, a beautiful gift shop with a strong focus on local pottery.
Wendy creates these stunning pottery candles in her home studio and fills them with pure Ballina sourced beeswax. Beeswax is the superior candle wax, releasing a delicate honey smell when burnt.
Burning time is approximately 20 hours.
BEHIND THE BRAND
Clay Corner is the brainchild of Wendy Cain, an Australian potter. Wendy pots, glazes and fires all her pieces in her Kyogle, NSW studio to stock in her Kyogle gift store - Clay Corner. Clay Corner pottery is rustic and functional everyday ware that would suit any household - from the country cottage to high end city homes. Wendy is a second-generation potter, learning alongside her mother when they lived in FNQ.
Keeping it in the family, Wendy is the mother-in-law of Collective Autonomy founder Kim Coupe. Over the past few years, Wendy has been teaching Kim the essentials of hand building and assists with Collective Autonomy’s own line of functional pottery.
Sharing the experience of small business ownership between them, Clay Corner and Wendy has become a great support network for Kim at Collective Autonomy. Their unique situation gives them both an opportunity to collaborate and brainstorm on ideas.
