Description

From high on the headland, the long curve of Sharpes Beach unfolds below in this original oil painting by Jill Thompson. Pale aqua water, a ribbon of soft sand and grassy green dunes sit beneath a wide, wind-swept sky, all in Jill's breezy, gestural style.

Jill Thompson is a Lennox Head artist who paints the beaches, headlands and back roads of the Northern Rivers in a loose, gestural style. Painted directly onto a solid block of upcycled timber, this little piece is sturdy enough to stand on its own on a shelf, desk or windowsill, or it can hang from the hook on the back. Jill signs, titles and dates every piece by hand on the reverse.

These mini artworks make a fantastic gift for an art lover, a northern rivers local, a housewarming gift, or even to someone who has moved on from the area and needs a touch of nostalgic beauty in their homes.

One-of-a-kind original artwork. Handmade in Lennox Head, Northern Rivers NSW. 9.5cm W x 9cm H x 1.8cm D.
